Evelyn Mae’s First Update 0-3 Months Old

My sweet baby girl Evelyn turned 3 months on April 29th. Oh My! Oh My! How time is really flying. Makes me sad that her newborn stage went by so quick but at the same time it has been the most amazing feeling to see her grow and accomplish her milestones. Every little thing about her I LOVE even her burps makes me happy…okay I know I sound cheesy but it’s just the cutest and most satisfaction feeling to hear a baby burp. Waking up to her moaning as she stretches has been my favorite. Evelyn has a special bond with daddy, very different from mommy’s. It’s just amazing how she can bond differently from both of us. Having her during quarantine hasn’t been the easiest but it’s been such an amazing blessing being able to stay home and enjoy my time with her. Also being able to spend more time with daddy has been my favorite.

About Evelyn

Evelyn was born on January 29, 2020. Weighted 8lb 6oz. Height 21 3/4 inches at 10:41pm. Now she weighs 12lb 8oz. height 26inches. Evelyn sure has gotten big. She outgrew her newborn clothes in 2 weeks.

Evelyn’s Milestones

Evelyn smiles and interacts with others. She loves when we talk to her and she makes very good eye contact. She coos and makes sounds back and not long ago she had her first adorable giggle. The most silliest things makes her giggle. She also communicates differently for different needs. She discovered her hands. She holds toys, she puts her hands in her mouth ALOT! she observes at them, she grasps my finger and daddas finger. When I try and keep her warm with a blanket she grabs and kicks the blanket off. During tummy time, she watches herself on the mirror and watches the toys in front of her as she gets frustrated because she can’t reach for them yet. She’s staying longer during tummy time. Oh! Dadda witness her rolling over the other morning and yesterday morning I woke up with her sleeping on her side, my heart melt. Overall so far she’s been doing amazing and hope and pray she continues to reach her milestones.

Evelyn’s Nap

Evelyn is very good at taking naps. During the day, she takes about 4 naps for about an hour each. At night, her bedtime is between 9pm and 10pm and she sleeps for 5 hours solid and wakes up once or sometimes twice for feedings. I gotta say, so far she’s been an easy baby. Of corse, It was definitely a challenge in the beginning for like the first month but once we had a routine down things got better and are getting better. However, we’re still learning as we grow with her too.

Evelyn Enjoys

Evelyn enjoys morning light through the window. She lays or sits by the window and she stays for a great while looking out. The first time we bathe her she was a bit confused (by the look on her face) so far we can say she likes baths. We have recently put her in the bathtub and she’s more free to move around. She kicks excitedly and floats when she tires herself out by kicking. She also likes watching The Winnie The Pooh movie, kid-you not but she stays watching the movie for a good 40 mins, without being fussy. Besides movies she also seems to enjoy worship and praise songs and when she’s napping I like to put instrumental songs for her and she can take pretty long naps. She likes to cuddle with me. She likes to snuggle in my arms as I type with one hand. She likes to have her independent moments but she definitely likes to snuggle with everyone.

Evelyn’s Dislikes

Evelyn first set of immunization vaccines were tough but she took it like a champ. She was a bit fussy but luckily she didn’t get the fever. Last week, here in Southern California was in the high 90’s degrees weather and she definitely not a fan of the heat, just like dadda.

Being Evelyns mom has been such an amazing feeling and it is a beautiful blessing. Evelyn is such a joy to be around with and can’t wait to see how she continues to strive her milestones and see how God will use her in life.
