Have you been asking your self what to pack in your diaper bag? I have put together a list of my 12 best diaper bag essentials that I can never leave the house without.
I’m all about being minimal, especially now that motherhood has taught me that less is more and to always be prepared for the unexpected. Therefore, when it comes to my diaper bag, the last thing I want to do when I’m out is dig in and struggle looking for an item in my bag.
This list is mostly when Evelyn was a newborn till now at 12 months. I’m sure my diaper bag will be looking different now that she’s officially a toddler. But for now this list is intended for babies 0-12 Months and if breastfeeding.

12 Products You Need To Pack In Your Diaper Bag
1. Diaper Bag
First, let’s start by relying on a good diaper bag. I own 2 diaper backpacks, this one was gifted to me on my baby shower, which I use the most. This one I purchased just because it’s a little smaller and it’s more to use when I’m feeling stylish. But any diaper bag you decide to go with is a MUST!
2. Diaper Changing Pad
With both diaper backpacks that I mentioned above, it has their own diaper changing pad. Having a diaper changing pad is great to have when changing your baby’s diaper.
3. Diapers
Ofcouse, can’t forget about the diapers. Depending on how long I will be out for I will carry between 2-4 diapers. You’ll need one diaper for every 2 hours that you are out. I like to have one extra.
4. Skip Hop On-The-Go Baby Wipes Dispenser
I always make sure my wipe dispenser if full. The wipe dispenser holds about 24 wipes.
5. Munchkin Arm and Hammer Diaper Bag Dispenser
The compact dispenser conveniently clips to diaper bags. Arm and Hammer bag refills make diaper disposal easy wherever you are.
6. Monkey Butt Cream
I like to carry the Monkey Butt Cream just to be on the safe side, never know when your little one will be having a rash. Mostly on those outings where unexpected things happen.
7. Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes
I like to keep two wipes in my diaper bag. They come handy for the shopping carts.
8. Munchkin Arm & Hammer Pacifier Wipes
Arm & Hammer Pacifier Wipes can give you much-needed peace of mind, especially when you’re out and about with baby. this handy pack of 36 wipes cleans pacifiers, bottles, nipples, cups, utensils and teething toys.
9. Infant Tylenol
I like to carry a bottle of Infant Tylenol in the diaper bag because it has been two occasions where I forget to pack the tylenol when we go in for her vaccines. So I figured it’s just better to just keep a bottle of Tylenol in the diaper bag before I forget and end up buying so many Tylenol bottles stocked up.
10. Change of Baby Clothes
I like to have an extra set of clothes just to be prepared for those messy outings. Throw a pair of sock in your diaper bag.
11. Nipple Shield
I had made many attempts to wean Evelyn off the nipple shield but it never worked. I couldn’t get her to latch on without the nipple shield. Well after so many attempts, I just decided that it was working fine using the shield and I was going to keep on using it while breastfeeding. Therefore, having a nipple shield with a protective case is a MUST!
12. Breastfeeding Cover
Love this Nursing Cover with Sewn in Burp Cloth, Its 100% BREATHABLE, BABY SAFE cotton that allows mothers and babies to stay cool while breastfeeding and a free carrying pouch is included.
13. Personal Items
I like to keep the front pocket for my personal items. Well its mostly for my wallet, keys and phone.
14. Last Minute Items
Depending on the weather for the day this is where I grab last minute items for Evelyn. For instance, I’ll pack a light blanket or a beanie for the cold days. A sun hat for the hot days. Or depending on how long I’ll be out I pack my Solly Baby Wrap, snacks, and toys.
And that’s a wrap! I hope this list help you get all your diaper bag essentials ready for a day out with your little one. If you include anything in your diaper bag that we don’t have here, let us know!
