The best FREE PRINTABLE and FARM ANIMALS FOR TODDLERS
This activity for toddlers has to be Evelyn’s favorite! She can now independently match the animals with the flashcards while making the sound of the animals.
It’s just so amazing to see her progress!
We are still working to get her say the names of each animal.
Check out where we purchased the Farm Animals here.
Made the Flashcards accordingly to these farm animals.
2. The Lockbox
This Lockbox came with The Realist PlayKit from Lovevery.
This lock box is a fun toy. I always find Evelyn sitting there tossing toys inside, closing the doors, opening them back up. This lockbox is perfectly portable for problem-solving with little hands.
3. Geo Shapes Puzzle
This is a 3-D puzzle to practice cradling and nesting complex shapes.
This one is also from Lovevery.
In the previous blog post, we used the Geo Shapes Puzzles but only using one nesting shapes and this week we are using two.
FYI you can get free shipping for all Lovevery orders.
4. Tea Party Play
This Tea Set was gifted from her Aunty and it is just too cute!
Such a cute tea set that Evelyn has been loving! She’s at pretend play stage and I love watching her pretend to drink out of the cups and pretends to feed the cat doll cupcake.
This tea set also comes with a board book, such a fun story!
Not to mention that reading aloud develops language skills, while pretend play promotes creativity.
Very cute activity for toddlers!
5. Really Real Flashlight
We really love this flashlight!
Evelyn loves to turn on and off the flashlight and walks around with it turned on and gets amazed by the light hitting objects.
This is where I take advantage and play the “Spotlight”
When Evelyn focus the flashlight on something I then name the object and talk about the color, texture, or shape of the object.
Such a great activity for language!
6. Body Parts Picture-Word Cards (FREE PRINTABLE HERE)
This set of Body Parts Picture-Word Cards
Includes arm, elbow, wrist, hand, thumb, finger, fingernails, head, ear, eye, hair, lips, teeth, tongue, nose, legs, knee, ankle, foot, toes, shoulders, stomach, neck. Many young children don’t know words like wrist, ankle, elbow, etc. so these cards can teach kids new vocabulary.
7. Bean Bags
Playing toss-and-catch with the bean bags has been a great activity to do indoors while working on her gross motor skills.
8. Lacing Beads
Lacing is another of her favorite this week.
This week we focused on learning two colors (blue and yellow)
So the way I have been introducing her the colors is by choosing 2 colors to practice for the week.
For example, here with this lacing activity I would hold a yellow bead and blue bead in each hand and would tell Evelyn, “blue” “yellow” as I’m showing her the beads. Then, I would say “lets lace the blue bead” and hand it to her.
We’ve been going over these two colors and she seems to get the color BLUE correct every time now. So now I will be trying keeping the yellow color with a new color.
9. Wooden Blocks
At this age, your little one enjoy stacking a tower of blocks as high as possible and then watching what happens when they knock them down.
Also, another activity we used to practice colors.
I would even find Evelyn classifying the blocks by color.
10. Circle of Friends Puzzle
This Puzzle is a series of circles that is the right challenge for your toddler at this stage.
