God calls children a true gift and a blessing, and they are. Children are filled with joy, love, innocence, and laughter — all things that adults can lose sight of as they grow older. But it’s also our job to make sure we cherish these gifts in our kids and nature their faith as they become adults themselves.

God has blessed me with the most joyful and lovable little human being. I’m now here writing another 3 month update on Evelyn. Evelyn came a long way on her first 3 months of birth. Now these 3-6 months of birth, she has really met milestones after milestones. It makes me happy and I’m very fortunate to be a stay at home mom and watch her grow and explore.
Motherhood has been a blessing. God has taught me a great deal through the trials and tribulations of motherhood. Being a mother has brought to me tremendous blessings and through mothering, God has molded me into a better person than I would have been without this motherhood journey. It’s a difficult job, there is NO doubt about it, but the benefits FAR out way the challenges!
I cherish every lesson, hurt, challenge, triumph and beautiful step along the way.

COGNITIVE (LEARNING, THINKING, PROBLEM-SOLVING:
Evelyn enjoys nature walks. Evelyn looks around at things that are nearby. She shows excitement by kicking and reaching. Also, Evelyn brings things to her mouth., she passes toys from one hand to the other. When she’s not shaking her sensory toys, she is banging toys on the floor, stops, and bangs on them again. Evelyn recently began showing curiosity about the things that are out of reach and she tries to get them. She loves to explore!
MOVEMENT/PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT:
Evelyn’s gross motor skills are the strongest from her development. At 3 months, she began rolling over in both directs (front to back, back to front). Now at 5 months, she rocks back and fourth while in crawling position. Also at 5 months, Evelyn began to belly crawl, (also known as the commando crawl!) She began by keeping her tummy against the floor as she moves. Now she is all over the apartment to get around and explore to things. Evelyn also recently began to sit without support, but only for couple of seconds. Evelyn started to crawl over her water mat. Now, she goes over the pillows. She continues getting stronger as I’m child proofing my whole apartment.
SELF-HELP SKILLS:
Evelyn is becoming more of an independent baby. She holds her own cup and drinks from it. We also started solids at 5 months. She holds the spoon and brings it to her mouth. So far Evelyn has liked all her vegetables and fruits that we have offered her.
