What comes in the 9-10 Month Play Kit
They named the 9-10 month kit ‘The Explorer’ because at this age babies are on the move exploring everything. Babies want to explore at things by getting closer to the objects. To find out what happens when he/she hits, touches, or bangs things.
Therefore, inside the kit you will find 9 Playthings for your little one to play with.
Includes:
- A Peek-A-Boo Blanket for object permanence and shape-changing.
- 2 Shapes Bean Bags for dropping stuff.
- A Baby Ball to find out if it will float?.
- A ‘How I Feel’ Board Book to learn about feelings.
- An ‘Oppsites’ Board Book to explore basic concepts with opposites.
- 4 First Blocks with Zipper Pouch to work on hand-eye coordination.
- A Clear Tube with Stacking Rings for putting things in things.
- Little Grip Canister Set of 3 to understand inside and out.
- And a Montessori Egg Cup to build coordination and concentration
In addition to, it includes a guide where they include a timeline on how you may want to introduce the playthings to your little one. Also, includes a guide on how to do the activity and the purpose of the activity. The cool thing about it too is that they include more activities to do at home and shows you how to do the activity and the benefits of it.
Why I Chose Lovevery?
When I was working as an infant and toddler teacher, I would use a Play Kit similar to Lovevery and it was just nice and simple to use.
Awesome thing was that with the Play Kit, I did not have to worry about looking for several toys inside the toy cabinets or look for books in the hundreds of books we had in the book selfs or inside the book cabinet. Mainly on a busy day, it was always nice to just grab the Play Kit and have a nice play with the child. Yet, still working on their developmental goals.
I wanted to give Lovevery a try after I came across them on Tik-Tok and on Instagram. However, already knowing from working and having a Play Kit, it can be very pricy. Therefore, I didn’t even bother to go to Lovevery’s site.
It wasn’t until I started looking for toys to buy for my daughter and each toy I was looking to purchase was at least $20. I then instantly remembered about the Lovevery Play Kit and did my research.
What blew me away was that it wasn’t as expensive as I thought, it’s great quality, and are age appropriate toys.
Thoughts on the Lovevery 9-10 Months Play Kit
Lovevery is a bit pricy but you are paying for what you’re getting. However, it is most definitely less expensive than the Play Kits I was familiar. (about $150 less expensive). So the price blew me away immediately. Also, if I say so myself, it kinda… sorta, fit our budget. I just didn’t let my husband know I was getting the Play Kit because he wasn’t going to understand how beneficial is to have a Play Kit for our daughter. (laughing out loud) As a stay at home mom it makes my life so easy and less messy.
Besides being affordable than other Play Kits, Lovevery is sustainable sourced wood, organic cotton fabrics, baby toy safe, and carbon neutral shipping.
Lovevery is sourced from FSC-compliant sustainable sources in every piece of wood that comes with the Play Kit. My daughter bites on the wooden blocks and wooden rings, the paint or wood hasn’t ruined. All toys from the Play Kit are definitely baby toy safe however, never leave your little one unattended.
My Tips
I know having lots of new toys in one box can be overwhelming. You don’t know how to start or where to start from. Not only I get overwhelm but my daughter always gets overwhelm with so many toys out. She grabs one, drops it and grabs another toy. Especially if it’s a new toy.
The first day I opened up the Play Kit. I gave all the toys to my daughter and she was all over the place and left me overwhelmed while I’m reading the guide. So I put everything away and continue reading the guide and got familiar with the purpose of each toy.
Second day, I introduced all the toys for her to explore. It was more like an open-ended play. Which is also amazing about this Play Kit.
Third day, I took out one toy and I modeled to her how to do the activity. I gave her the toy and she explored it and played how she wanted to.
I continued to model the activity to her and as she played I would help her and encourage to do the activity.
Remember, children’s attention span are short. Also, doing the activity doesn’t have to be perfect in the beginning or every time. Every child is unique in their own ways. I am just sharing what helped me and might also help you.
Tips:
- Read the guide & Get familiar with each toy
- Let your child explore the toys first
- MODEL to your child how to do the activity
- Play one toy at a time/a day
